Mission hospital mattress production.

On Saturday, May 10, '08.

Top picture: Michael turning the covers right side out and preparing the corners for stuffing.

Bottom picture: David folds the foam mattress in half and straps it together so that it will slip into the cover easily.

Middle picture: ( sorry they got out of order)
Helmut puts the foam in the covers.

After completing 50 mattresses they wrapped them in bundles of three in clear plastic vapor barrier with an address label. (No picture of this step.)

This evening 50 more mattresses were finished with Les and me lending our hands to the project.

Every thing is now ready for delivery to Portage la Prairie to pack into the container to Zambia.

Thanks for the tour! Educational as always! I can't believe how Michael has grown!

You're always doing something really ambitious! Do you have to make another trip over this direction in the future with your new pile of mattresses? You know you are always welcome here.

Oh, I just reread your last line. I guess Portage la Praire isn't near here... :(

Val, Portage la Prairie is 60 miles west of Winnipeg. Mr. Walker will likely drive into Wpg. with a big cube van and pick them all up at once - they actually want more than 100 so U. Helmut is trying to get the rest of the materials together to make up some more. They are for four different mission hospitals in Zambia-Kalene, Chitokoloki, Loloma & Chavuma.
